The Bing chatbot is actually based on the GPT-4 language model

Recently, OpenAI revealed a new language model GPT-4, which is superior to GPT-3.5 in many ways.  It can solve complex tasks thanks to more careful training. Duolingo, Stripe, Khan Academy and other companies are working on integrating GPT-4 into their products. Microsoft has also confirmed that their Bing chatbot is based on the GPT-4 model.

Bing GTP Chatbot

Yusuf Mehdi, head of consumer marketing at Microsoft, made the following statement on the subject.

We are happy to confirm that the new Bing is running on GPT-4, which we’ve customized for search. If you’ve used the new Bing preview at any time in the last five weeks, you’ve already experienced an early version of this powerful model. As OpenAI makes updates to GPT-4 and beyond, Bing benefits from those improvements. Along with our own updates based on community feedback, you can be assured that you have the most comprehensive copilot features available.

GPT-4 is a multimodal language model, which allows it to process incoming information in both textual and graphical form. By parsing text and images simultaneously, the language model can interpret more complex input data. Microsoft has previously stated that it uses a hybrid model "Prometheus", but there has been no word on whether the chatbot takes advantage of GPT-4.

In addition, Microsoft has changed the limits on requests to the Bing chatbot. From now on, users can send up to 15 messages per session and create up to 150 conversations with the bot per day.
