Edge Appears In Start Menu Ads, Here's How to Get Rid of It
Microsoft recently released the Chromium-based version of the Edge browser. The company is now using Start menu ads to promote the app to Windows 10 users.
Microsoft has announced new type of ads in Windows 10. They are called Playable Ads and represent a completely new, interactive format for promoting Universal apps. A preview of Playable Ads has already been launched in the Windows Dev Center.
A new change arrived to Windows 10 with one of the recent updates. Many users spotted aggressive, annoying ad popups which appear right in the taskbar promoting Microsoft apps like Edge. The operating system detects that the user is not using Edge and offers him to switch to Microsoft's browser instead of the current one with a special taskbar thumbnail popup.
