You can install new patches for Surface Pro 6 if your device runs Windows 10 1903 or newer. To download the updates, open Windows Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates. Users can also download new firmware manually from the official website.
Microsoft released Surface Pro 6 in October 2018. The Surface Pro 6 ships with Windows 10 Home in consumer models and Windows 10 Pro in commercial models. The Pro 6 Core i5 model is an i5-8250U or 8350U in consumer, and the i7 is a Core i7-8650U CPU in commercial. The base model comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD. Core i7 models have 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. The configuration of the device can be slightly changed by the user at an additional cost.
The tablet got updated internals and a new color option leaving chassis and design without significant changes. One year later, Microsoft updated Surface Pro 6 with a successor model called Surface Pro 7.
