After a year of active development, Microsoft has rolled out the first stable version of the Skype UWP app for Windows 10. The new app version comes without a Preview tag. Here is what has changed in this new version.
Skype UWP app version 11.13.115.0 features the following changes:
- Skype UWP can use the contact list stored in Windows 10. This ability is implemented as a regular permission in Settings which can be turned on or off there.
- Now it is possible to search in all your Skype chats for a certain message.
- The support for Skype SMS.
- A number of new keyboard shortcuts.
- The ability to switch your microphone, camera during the call.
- The ability to transfer the call to a new device running Skype.
- A revamped group video call user interface.
