Microsoft has made available for download a number of pre-release Edge versions based on Chromium. At the moment of this writing, the browser is available in a Dev Channel and a Canary Channel. Generate a GUID in Windows 10 (Globally Unique Identifier)
A GUID is a 128-bit value consisting of one group of 8 hexadecimal digits, followed by three groups of 4 hexadecimal digits each, followed by one group of 12 hexadecimal digits. In Windows, GUIDs are used to identify objects such as interfaces, manager entry-point vectors (EPVs), ActiveX objects, and virtual (shell) folders.

Mainstream support for Windows 10 version 1709 has ended
The initial version of Windows version 1709 'Fall Creators Update' was released on October 17, 2017. Since then, Microsoft has released a few feature updates for the Windows 10 OS family, including version 1803 and version 1809; and subsequently a bunch of cumulative updates, including security fixes and stability improvements.
