Microsoft Phases Out Surface Laptop Studio 2, Simplifies Surface Lineup

Microsoft is quietly scaling back its Surface hardware portfolio, with the Surface Laptop Studio 2 becoming the latest device to reach end of life. Sources familiar with Microsoft’s plans confirm that production of the Laptop Studio 2 ceased earlier this month, and the device will officially be marked as discontinued in June. While Microsoft declined to comment, official resellers have acknowledged the move, noting limited availability moving forward. Support for driver and firmware updates will continue in line with Microsoft’s standard lifecycle policies.

Windows 11 Build 22631.5409 (Release Preview) released with a lot of improvements

Windows 11 Build 26120.3964 (Beta) introduces Copilot Agent in Settings

Microsoft has released a new preview Windows 11 Build 26120.3964, version 24H2, KB5058496, to Insiders in the Beta channel. As you may already know, 22635.5305 was the last build of Windows 11, version 23H2 for the Beta channel. All Insiders will soon receive the update to Windows 11, version 24H2. Until then, Insiders can manually approve the update to Windows 11, version 24H2 in Windows Update.

Windows 11 Build 26200.5600 (Dev) improves Click-to-Do and Settings

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Build  26200.5600 (KB5058493), to Windows Insiders in the Dev channel. Currently, the Dev channel has moved to builds with numbers 26200. This means that the ability to switch from the Dev channel to Beta will close after installing build 26200.5510. If you have not yet switched to the Beta channel, but want to do so, then when build 26200.5510 appears in the Windows Update Center, you can pause receiving updates, switch the channel, and resume updates.

Compact Mode in Xbox for Windows Gets Clock, Battery Indicator, and Wi-Fi

Microsoft has unveiled significant updates to the Xbox app for Windows. Its user interface now includes the clock, battery indicator, and Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection status (on desktops). The change comes ahead of the company’s long-awaited announcement of its first portable gaming console, codenamed “Project Kennan". The latter is being developed in partnership with ASUS.
