MSEdgeRedirect has reached version 0.7, adds image search redirections

MSEdgeRedirect is a must have tool for everyone who aren't happy with Bing integrated too much in Windows 11. The app allows you to use alternative search engines where possible. Also, it makes it possible to open links in your favorite web browser instead of Edge. This affects all links in all apps, including apps from the Store, and links in the Settings app. Version 0.7 of MSEdgeRedirect further expands its capabilities to image searches, and includes reliability fixes.

AdDuplex: Windows 11 share reached 23%

According to a new AdDuplex report, Windows 11 now has 23% of market. Their stat info on the use of different versions of Windows is based on information from 5000 applications. The apps are using the AdDuplex SDK, and serve as the only data source. So the actual numbers must be different, but Microsoft never shares its own stat on the OS usage.

KB5014666 optional Windows 10 update fixes Hotspot and adds new features

Microsoft has released a new optional "C" update to everyone running Windows 11 version 21H2 and 21H1. The patch KB5014666 raises the OS version to builds 19042.1806 and 19043.1806. Besides traditional general improvements and fixes, it also resolves the infamous Hotspot bug. Surprisingly for a cumulative update, it adds new printing and networking features.

Edge Collections will soon receive Inspiration Feed, Follow Creators, and more

Microsoft has officially announced several improvements that soon come to the Edge browser, and its Collections feature. It will allow you to save images and videos directly to a Collection, and follow Content creators on sites like YouTube and TikTok. Finally, Collections will receive a new "Inspiration Feed" to display related content to your collections.

Firefox 102 is out with improved privacy and security fixes

Mozilla has released Firefox 102, which serves as base for the ESR version. So, the stable branch, as well as ESR are now on Firefox 102, with Firefox 103 entering Beta. The update is notable with a few UI enhancements, along with privacy and stability improvements, and 22 security fixes.

The change wasn't welcomed by the community, so enthusiast quickly found ways to bypass it. Now those who use Rufus to create a bootable media, can now use the tool to install Windows 11 without creating a Microsoft Account and made the setup program less annoying.
