Microsoft has announced a change made to the Windows 11 touch keyboard. Starting in Windows 11 Build 22635.4145 (Beta), you will find a new layout that supports the ability to use your Xbox controller to navigate and type, including Xbox-specific accelerators.
Some AI features will already become available on Copilot+ laptops this November
Microsoft has confirmed that up to six AI features will become available for Copilot+ laptops with NPU and latest CPUs from Intel and AMD. Those include Recall, Context-aware Copilot, Subtitle translation, Auto Super Resolution, Improved image and text generation with Cocreator, and improved Windows Studio effects.
Windows 11 overtakes Windows 10 in Steam stats for the first time
Steam has published the results of the Hardware & Software Survey for August 2024. According to report, Windows 11 has surpassed Windows 10 in popularity for the first time. Over the past month, the Windows 11 share has grown by 3.36% and now stands at 49.17%. In turn, the Windows 10 figures have decreased by 3.07% to 47.09%.
Microsoft makes the new Account Manager in Start more convenient
Some time ago, Microsoft has started releasing a new feature of the Start menu called "Account Manager". It is currently available to Windows 11 Insiders. Windows 11 Build 27695 (Canary) changes the build expiration date to September 15
Windows 11 build 27695 is now available to Insiders using the Canary channel. It introduces the Widgets button on the right side of the taskbar, new build expiration date, improvements to the notification management, and more. Interestingly, some Insiders in the Canary ring will see an estimate of how long their PC will be not in usable state while installing Build 27695.

Microsoft delegates Mono project development to Wine community
In August 2024, Microsoft transferred the Mono project, an open-source software platform for building cross-platform applications and an alternative to the .NET platform, to the Wine community and the WineHQ organization. WineHQ is known for developing an open implementation of the Win32 API.
