Windows 11 is started to get components written in Rust. Rust is a modern memory-safe programming language that is growing in popularity. Earlier, Linux kernel was the only mainstream project that had Rust support for its modules, but now has Windows joined the party.

Chrome now supports Mica effect on its title bar
Earlier in April, we reported that there was a proposal to the Chromium code base that adds Windows 11's Mica effect to the window frame of the browser. It didn't take long for it to reach users: Chrome Canary comes with Mica titlebars enabled by default.
Beta channels Insiders receive Windows 11 Builds 22624.1755/22621.1755 with fixes
In addition to the Patch Tuesday updates, Microsoft today released two new builds to Insiders running Windows 11 in the Beta channel. Both builds do not include new features, and only include a number of minor fixes.

Firefox 113 stable significantly improves PiP mode and AV1 support
Mozilla has updated the stable branch of Firefox with version 113. The release is notable for Picture-in-Picture enhancements. Also, AV1 format implementation now supports animations (AVIS). New AI Copilot features will soon enhance Microsoft 365 apps and services. The Redmond software giant has announced that OneNote, Loop, Viva Learning, and Whiteboard will all receive the Copilot update. It is important to note that AI features in Microsoft 365 are currently in a closed preview.
Windows 11 Settings app will show ads on its Home page
As you may remember, the Settings app is getting a new default page called Home. It is a work in progress, so it exists in form of a hidden feature in Insider builds. The latest research shows that in addition to the device information the page is intended to show, it will also include ads for Microsoft's own services.
Microsoft Edge 113 stable improves enhanced security mode
Microsoft has released the stable version of Microsoft Edge 113, which includes enhanced security improvements, switches from Microsoft Autoupdate to EdgeUpdater for macOS, and adds new policies. The full browser version is 113.0.1774.35.
