OpenAI is set to release a free official ChatGPT application for Android, replicating the features of the web version. It should become available next week, so it will be 2 months after the release of the iOS app.
The Android app will be available on Google Play, offering synchronization with the web version and access to saved chats across mobile devices.
ChatGPT Plus subscribers for $20/month will receive exclusive benefits, including access to the GPT-4 model. While OpenAI has not specified the exact release date, a pre-order page for the app is available on the Google Play app store. The rest apps available on Google Play are a third-party software that show ads in addition to the ChatGPT access.
The iOS version of the ChatGPT app was launched in May 2023 and is accessible in over 40 countries.
