Intel has confirmed the suspension of its Project Endgame cloud gaming service

Intel has confirmed the suspension of its cloud gaming service, Project Endgame, which was originally announced in 2022 as part of their plans for Arc discrete graphics accelerators.

Project Endgame is a unified services layer that aimed to enhance gaming and non-gaming PC experiences by utilizing computing resources across the cloud, edge, and home. The project's goal was to free users from relying solely on their local hardware specifications by providing them with a Cloud GPU.

Now Intel has confirmed on Twitter that the development of Project Endgame has been put on hold, with no updates to share at the moment. This move is believed to be a result of underwhelming sales of Intel's Arc line products in the discrete graphics accelerator market. Additionally, Intel recently introduced graphics cards geared towards workstations rather than gaming, and there have been personnel changes within the graphics division.

So it's not surprising that Intel Graphics has announced on Twitter that there will be no Project Endgame release any time soon and that their efforts in this direction are on hold.
