Microsoft has started public preview for its "Loop" service. It allows working together on content from Microsoft 365. Work on projects is carried out inside workspaces, so administrators can easily manage content access rights.
Microsoft Loop is available on both desktop and mobile devices running Android and iOS as a standalone app. Currently, the service only supports work accounts, but this restriction will be removed in the future. You can register for the service on the official website.
The company is positioning Loop as a transformative co-creation experience that connects teams, content, and tasks across all your tools and devices.
Any content within a project can be converted to a Microsoft Loop component. It can be shared with groups of people, including those who are not part of the project team. For example, a project manager can share a budget spreadsheet with only certain people, or view it side by side with other content available to a wider audience.
The recently announced Microsoft 365 Copilot is also available as a preview on Microsoft Loop. It uses AI for various suggestions. Copilot currently works with Teams, Outlook, Whiteboard, and Word for the web.
Microsoft Loop reminds of products like Asana and Notion. But it offers better integration with Microsoft 365.
