Microsoft Copilot users can now access GPT-4 Turbo and DALL-E 3 at no cost. It is not required to get the $20 per month GPT-4 Turbo subscription. According to Microsoft, GPT-4 Turbo will provide more precise answers, a wider range of knowledge, and improved image analysis compared to the previous GPT-4 model.
Additionally, Microsoft announced new features for Bing Chat in January, including plugin support, chat history and export, charts, and more. The company also introduced AI-powered Office features for regular users as part of the Copilot Pro subscription, offering access to AI options in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, priority access to the latest OpenAI models, and the ability to create their own Copilot GPT.
Following its launch, a recent survey revealed that the mobile app was downloaded 2.1 million times, with no apparent impact on ChatGPT's revenues and installs. Despite this, ChatGPT has experienced declining installations and reports have cited high operational costs, inaccurate responses, and reduced user interest as contributing factors.
Although Microsoft has not officially announced the transition to GPT-4 Turbo, sources reported in November that the company was working on deploying the model to Copilot. The feature will be gradually distributed to users and will appear on the main page of the application. To start using it, users will need to click on the switch labeled "Use GPT-4".
