Note that this article shows how to permanently disable notifications in Windows 11. You can take a short break and disable notification for a specific period using the Focus Assist feature (do not disturb mode).

Windows 11 has a master switch that disables all notifications with a single click. Here is how to access it.

Disable Notifications in Windows 11

To disable notifications in Windows 11, do the following.

  1. Press Win + I to open Windows Settings.
  2. Go to the System section and click Notifications.Open Settings > System > Notifications

That is it. It takes just a couple of clicks to permanently disable all notifications in Windows 11. To enable notifications back, repeat the steps above.

Important: Some apps use their own notifications systems independent from Windows. In that case, you need to disable notifications explicitly in the app (that is true mostly for old legacy applications). Unfortunately, those programs are immune to the notifications master switch in Windows 11.

You can also disable notifications for individual apps. That can be done again with the Settings app.

  1. This change refers to the 21H2 version where the registry key disables “Notifications”
I ask if it is peossible for version 22H2 to disable the “Do not disturb” option.
    Thank you
