Google introduced new Early Stable channel with earlier access to Chrome releases

The Search giant has announced an extra Early Stable channel that will host what becomes stable versions of the Google Chrome browser a week before the official release. By rolling out the semi-final builds to a select small group of users, Google expects to catch more bugs before making the releases available to a wider audience.

This way Chrome may become less buggy, as major bugs have a less chance to reach all the user base at once. The company has made the following announcement.

We are making a change to the release schedule for Chrome. From Chrome 110, the initial release date to stable will be one week earlier. This early stable version will be released to a small percentage of users, with the majority of people getting the release a week later at the normal scheduled date, this will also be the date the new version is available from the Chrome download page.

The addition to the release schedule will take its place with Chrome 110, which is coming in February next year.

While most users will get Chrome 110 on February 7, 2023, the new Early Stable channel will get the same build on February 1, 2023. The new channel will be a small addition to the Beta channel, which will get Chrome 110 on January 12, 2023.

You’ll find more details in the official announcement linked here.
