Enable Shopping Coupon Finder in Edge on Android

Here's how to enable Shopping Coupon Finder in Edge on Android, so the browser will be able to find shopping coupons for you.

Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome have lots of shared code under the hood, but what makes the former stand out are some additional features and conveniences. One of such things is a built-in coupon finder. This feature automatically scans a website for available but hidden coupons to save you quite a lot of money. After bringing shopping features to desktops, Microsoft is now working on an identical capability for mobile.

You can already make good use of Microsoft's coupon finder on Android. It is available in the latest Edge Canary build behind an experimental flag. Here is how to enable it.

Enable Shopping Coupon Finder in Edge on Android

  1. Install the latest Canary build from the Google Play Store (92.0.884.0 or newer.)
  2. Type the URL edge://flags/#edge-coupons-enable in the Edge address bar.
  3. Select Enabled from the drop-down menu.Edge Enable Coupon Finder On Android 1
  4. Restart the browser.
  5. Tap the menu button with three dots and select Settings.
  6. Tap General and turn on Coupons.

Now, you can visit any online shop you want. If there are available coupons, Microsoft Edge will show them in the address bar. Tap the icon with a counter to show deals with a brief description.

Currently, new shopping features are only available in desktop Edge version and Edge Canary for Android. Although Microsoft Edge now shares a lot of code across all platforms, Edge for iOS does not support finding coupons yet. Still, you can expect Microsoft to bring this feature to iOS shortly. Because the browser now uses a common code base, Microsoft can bring new features to mobile platforms much faster.

It is worth mentioning that Edge Stable for iOS and Android still offers quite an ancient version 46.3. Preview channels (Canary and Dev on Android and Beta on iOS) now have m uch newer version 92 with lots of new features, experimental flags, and various improvements that make browsing the web using Edge much better experience.
