Microsoft is focusing its efforts on making the appearance settings more accessible and simple. Now, each entry in the "Customize toolbar" section has its respective icon. This change will help users understand the purpose of various buttons on the toolbar. Also, there is an additional button to enable or disable vertical tabs and a link to the home page settings.

Additionally, if you want to show the home page button on a toolbar, Microsoft now gives you an option to specify which URL it should open.
Finally, sections displayed on most pages in Settings now contain their unique icons to improve the overall look and make navigation more intuitive. It is quite interesting to see Microsoft adding more icons to Edge while Firefox, in contrast to that, is about to ditch lots of icons in the upcoming Proton UI redesign.
Currently, the new Appearance page is available in Microsoft Edge Canary 91.0.849.0. Again, it is under limited testing, and the company is yet to decide whether to ship it in the Edge 91 Stable.
In addition to these cosmetic changes, Microsoft is working on several new hubs for its browser. Recently, the company introduced a new Assistance Hub with different tips and tricks that will help users learn more about the browser's capabilities and changes in updates. Also, there is a new Math Solver hub that you can enable using a special flag in the experimental settings section.
You can expect all these changes to appear soon in Edge Dev builds. Microsoft releases fresh updates on this channel every week, and generously provides extensive changelogs with new features, improvements, and bug fixes.
