Colorful Windows 10 Icons: People app, and Tips

Windows 10 Tips App Ico

Microsoft is known for making new colorful icons for Windows 10. The new icons were expected to be used in a special edition of the OS for dual-screen devices, Windows 10X. However, Microsoft has made icons available across the entire Windows 10 family. Today, the company has released an updated icon for the People app, and for Microsoft Tips.

The new icons have been initially found by enthusiasts, but recently Microsoft officially introduced them. With new icons, Microsoft pursuits a goal to develop a flexible and open design system to span a range of contexts, to signal innovation and change while maintaining familiarity for customers.

Also, Microsoft is trying to resolve Windows icon inconsistency, as it includes many icons from previous Windows versions, including Windows XP, Windows 2000, and even Windows 95. Certain icons, while being modern, just don't fit the design style of the OS.

Windows Insiders have received their first set of new icons with Windows 10 Build 19569, featuring the new icons for Calculator, Mail & Calendar, Alarms & Clock, Voice Recorder, Groove Music, and Movies & TV. Later, the new icons became available to non-Insiders with app updates from the Store.

The People app has received a new icon. While it had already had a modern colorful icon, the latter one features re-arranged 'people'. The previous icon:
