Microsoft announced that Clipchamp, a web-based video editing application, will be available with a Microsoft 365 subscription and will be integrated into the Office suite. With this move, the company aims to expand the capabilities of Office, as videos have become a really important part of workflows.
Clipchamp makes it easy to create, edit and publish beautiful videos that look like they were created by professionals. The service is great for short videos, be it family videos or school video essays.
Video is the format that reflects reality. With it, we can see faces, hear voices, and really connect with what we're watching. It's the new go-to way to communicate, learn, sell, and keep records. And while creating videos used to be hard and time-consuming, now there are editing products that make it easy for anyone— products like Clipchamp.
You may remember that Microsoft acquired Clipchamp in September this year and soon began shipping it along with Windows 11. At the same time, Chris Pratley, corporate vice president of the Microsoft Office media group, hinted that Clipchamp will be part of the Microsoft 365 subscription.
Since it is a web application, you can try it out in your browser for free by going to clipchamp.com. You can also download the Windows app from the Microsoft Store.
