Presentation Mode is designed to help users of portable devices (e.g. laptops). When enabled, it applies advanced changes to the operating system's configuration, so your computer stays awake, the screen saver can be disabled, the desktop background can be removed or changed to a specific image, and the sound volume can be set to a predefined value.

Disable Auto Suggestions in Run and File Explorer in Windows 10

The built-in file management tool, File Explorer, comes with a useful Auto Suggestions feature. When enabled, it automatically shows the suggested text that matches the letters you type in the Run dialog, in the address bar and in Open and Save dialogs of apps. It allows you to speed up your work and save your time. Auto Suggestions can be enabled or disabled in File Explorer with a simple Registry tweak in all modern operating systems including Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7.

After a few days of the release of Windows 10 version 1809, plenty of users reported that it was somehow deleting users' data. It is some bug that affects only certain customers, nevertheless this is an extremely serious issue that is not acceptable even if it affects a small number of users. Microsoft has started an investigation, so Windows 10 version 1809 has been temporarily pulled from their servers. It is not available for download any more for now.

Disable Automount of New Drives in Windows 10

Starting with Windows 10 version 1809, also known as "October 2018 Update", Microsoft implemented a new option - screen snipping. A new Screen Snip feature has been added to Windows 10 to quickly snip and share a screenshot. You can add a Screen Snip button to the taskbar. This will allow you to take a screenshot faster without opening the Action Center.
