Install a winget app with custom arguments and command line switches

Sometimes you may need to install an app with winget but with extra command line arguments, or even replace the default switches with your own ones. Winget is a built-in package manager that learns how to install an app from a manifest file. But you can override command line arguments without editing that file.

April update for Windows Subsystem for Android adds Picture-in-picture mode

Game Pass for PC is now available in 40 additional countries

As of today, Microsoft has expanded the availability of PC Game Pass into 40 more countries across the globe. This includes countries such as Bulgaria, Ukraine, Georgia, and Serbia. In celebration of the expansion, Microsoft is providing new users in these countries with a special price on a three-month subscription to PC Game Pass.

PowerToys Run may soon allow to launch all other built-in “toys”

PowerToys allows you to launch the built-in utilities using two methods. You can open this or that tool from the main user interface, or using the recently added launcher from the system tray. Besides, there is an idea of accessing all PowerToys and their settings directly through PowerToys Run. It exists since 2020, but recently it has been revisited and finally received the "In-Progress" status.

PowerToys 0.69 include a new tool “Registry Preview”

Microsoft has recently updated its open source tools collection for Windows, PowerToys, to version 0.69. The latest release comes with some new features and options that users can take advantage of. One of the most notable features is the Registry Preview tool, which enables users to preview registry changes before committing them.
