uBlock Origin is now available for Microsoft Edge
Since the launch of Windows 10 Anniversary Update with support for extensions in Microsoft Edge, there hasn't been many of them released in the Windows Store. One of the reasons for that is that Microsoft isn't allowing individual developers to publish them, only partnering with the ones they find interesting. From the start, there were already two ad blocking extensions — AdBlock and AdBlock Plus, and now there's finally a third option available: uBlock Origin has made its way to the Windows Store.
Edge gets EPUB support in Windows 10 Creators Update
With the released Windows 10 build 14971, a new feature has landed for its default browser. Edge, the new browser Microsoft recommends to everyone instead of Internet Explorer, is able to open EPUB file format. So, it can used to read EPUB books without having to install third-party eBook reader apps for this purpose.
How to enable the dark theme in Microsoft Edge
As you may already know, Windows 10 comes with an option to enable the dark theme for apps built using the Universal Windows Platform. Most of the built-in apps in Windows 10 like Settings or Photos are Universal apps which follow the white or dark theme enabled by the user. In Microsoft Edge, you have to enable it manually. Enable TCP Fast Open for Microsoft Edge in Windows 10
A new option in Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 is the ability to enable TCP Fast Open. TCP Fast Open (TFO) is a specification to open successive TCP connections faster between clients and servers using a crytographic cookie which stores authentication details to reduce the round-trip delay and lower the latency in the start of data transmission. Microsoft Edge now shows favicons for pinned sites
With Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Microsoft made an additional improvement to the Edge browser. As you might be knowing, the browser allows you to pin web sites to the Windows 10 Start menu. Now it generates nice looking tiles based on the website's favicon.
