Edge is the new default browser in Windows 10. Microsoft is constantly working to make it better. However, some of its options are experimental and can be enabled only by visiting the about:flags page. Microsoft aggressively pushes Edge with taskbar ads in Windows 10

A new change arrived to Windows 10 with one of the recent updates. Many users spotted aggressive, annoying ad popups which appear right in the taskbar promoting Microsoft apps like Edge. The operating system detects that the user is not using Edge and offers him to switch to Microsoft's browser instead of the current one with a special taskbar thumbnail popup.

During the October 2016 Microsoft event, the company showed some improvements that are coming in Windows 10 Creators Update all over the OS. Microsoft will supercharge Edge with additional protection

Microsoft announced at their Ignite 2016 conference that their new web browser, Edge, which is available exclusively for Windows 10, will get an extra security layer. The app will utilize virtualization to isolate threats and run web sites and web apps inside a secure environment.

Enable TCP Fast Open for Microsoft Edge in Windows 10

A new option in Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 is the ability to enable TCP Fast Open. TCP Fast Open (TFO) is a specification to open successive TCP connections faster between clients and servers using a crytographic cookie which stores authentication details to reduce the round-trip delay and lower the latency in the start of data transmission.
