Edge Dev 100.0.1181.0 allows setting a primary password for auto-fill

This week's update to Microsoft Edge has brought a few new features and a ton of fixes to the Dev channel. The browser version 100.0.1181.0 is now available for download. It includes such options like a primary password for auto-fill for extra security, new group policies, the ability to remove recent searches on mobile, and more.

Microsoft Edge now supports full-screen view in PDF reader, allows hiding annotations

The most recent Edge Canary release has brought a couple of new features. You may recall the document properties feature spotted in earlier Canary releases. Now it allows hiding annotations added to PDF, all at once. Besides, you can now open the built-in PDF reader full-screen.

Edge Dev 100.0.1169.1 adds page thumbnails to PDF viewer

Microsoft has released an update to the Dev channel of the Edge browser. Version 100.0.1169.1 ads two long requested features. There are page thumbnails for easier navigation in the built in PDF viewer. Also, the user can now set a custom password as a primary password to unlock a saved password before using in with autofill.

Edge is about to become the second most popular browser

There is no secret that no browser can currently dethrone Google Chrome from its dominant position. Google’s browser holds an immense 65% of the market with no signs of going down. Although the first place is unreachable at this point, other browsers are actively fighting for the second spot. And it appears that Microsoft is winning.

Microsoft Edge will sync PWA apps across your devices

Microsoft is testing a new feature for the Edge browser that will allow you to sync PWA across your devices. With one click you will able to install web apps that you have installed on your other device. The list of available apps appears on the "Apps" page, that opens with the eponymous entry in the menu (Alt+F).

Edge is getting native Outlook integration

In June 2021, Microsoft released its official Outlook extension in the Edge Add-ons Store. The add-on lets you read and create emails from a small popup available on any web page. It also supports calendars and tasks from Microsoft To Do. In October 2021, the Outlook extension arrived in the Chrome Web Store. Now Microsoft wants to integrate the project directly into its Edge browser.
