It appears that Microsoft's foldable dual-screen smartphone has been abandoned, at least from an external perspective. The Surface Duo last received a major software update in October 2022, when Android 12L was released. Since then, there has been little activity regarding new features and bug fixes.
Microsoft is working on ARM-based Surface Go 4 and 11-inch Surface Pro
According to reports, Microsoft is preparing to launch a new version of the Surface Go tablet this year. This will be the first time the tablet will be built on ARM processors. The new device, codenamed Tanta, will come with a Snapdragon 7c chip as its standard processor. Microsoft has announced the release of the second-generation Surface Hub 2S
This new device is designed for modern workplaces and is a collaborative computing device that can be used for video conferencing, digital whiteboarding, and other collaborative activities. The Surface Hub 2S has a 50-inch & 85-inch 4K+ resolution display that can be rotated between portrait and landscape modes. The second generation of Surface Hub 2S will be released in 2023 along with a new version of Windows dubbed "Teams Rooms on Windows".
These are updates in the Microsoft’s Surface device family
Microsoft holds the Surface event, and reveals updates to the device family. As expected, the company announced the Surface Pro 9, along with merge of the Surface Pro X with the main Surface Pro line. The new Surface Pro 9 is now the first device that include processor options from both Intel and Qualcomm/ARM. There are also Surface Studio 2+ with 11th gen Intel processor and NVIDIA RTX graphics, and Surface Laptop 5 with 12th Generation Intel Processors.
