Vivaldi 2.0 is on its way to users

Vivaldi, a fairly innovative modern web browser, has reached version 2.0. If you are tracking its development like me, you might be surprised by the sudden version change in the snapshot branch from 1.6 directly to 2.0.1295.3.

A new snapshot released to users on the pre-release channel doesn't include any significant changes besides the updated Chromium engine, which now matches the upstream version 69. Other changes of this version include mostly bugfixes. The only two new features are a refreshed welcome page, which can be opened with the URL vivaldi://welcome, and the native ability to get Vivaldi on Linux versions without  DEB and RPM package managers.

• List layout for visual tab cycler
• Resizable Tab Tiling
• Floating Panels

They were part of the Vivaldi 1.16 change log, which finally became version 2.0.
