VirtualBox is my virtualization software of choice. It is free and feature-rich, so all my virtual machines are created in VirtualBox. Starting with Windows 10 April 2018 Update (and its pre-release versions), I noticed very poor performance of Windows 10 guests in VirtualBox. Here is how I fixed it.

Windows 10 Build 17713 Is Out With New Features
Microsoft is releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17713 from the "Redstone 5" branch to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring. This release comes with a number of improvements and fixes made for Edge. Also, Notepad has received improvements like text zooming, line numbering, along with fixes for long-standing issues. Besides these changes, Windows Defender Application Guard and Windows Ink have also received improvements and fixes.
