Microsoft has updated the end of support dates for Windows 10, version 1809, and Windows 10, version 1709. The company is expanding the support period for these products, and for a number of other older apps and services, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

For extra protection, Windows 10 allows enabling BitLocker for removable data drives. Also known as 'BitLocker To Go', this feature includes the encryption of USB flash drives, SD cards, external hard disk drives, and other drives formatted by using the NTFS, FAT16, FAT32, or exFAT file systems. It supports protection with a smartcard or password.

Microsoft has updated the stable channel of the Edge browser with the build 81.0.416.53. The release comes with a number of new features, includes plenty of fixes and general improvements, and new Group Policies.

Skype, the app that doesn't need introduction, has got a new icon that plays nice with other colorful icons in Windows 10. Microsoft is known for making new colorful icons for Windows 10. The new icons were expected to be used in a special edition of the OS for dual-screen devices, Windows 10X. However, Microsoft has made icons available across the entire Windows 10 family.
Your Phone app Now Supports File Drag-and-Drop on Samsung Phones
Windows 10 comes with a special app, Your Phone, that allows pairing your Android or iOS smartphone with your desktop computer and browse your phone data on the PC. As result of collaboration between Microsoft and Samsung, the app supports clipboard sync, and Rich Communication Services - messages without a character limit that support attachments.

In Windows 8, Microsoft introduced a feature for mouse users which can be accessed with a right click in the bottom left corner of the screen - the Win+X menu. In Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, you can simply right click on the Start button to show it. This menu has shortcuts to useful administrative tools and system functions. While it is not a customizable part of Windows 10, you can re-arrange the menu items and delete ones you never use.
Microsoft will support Edge on Windows 7 until July 15, 2021
The Redmond software giant issued an update to its Edge support schedule which was expected to be closely tied to Google Chrome's support schedule for Windows 7. As you may remember, Google promised to support the retired OS for at least 18 months, until July 2021, and Microsoft was about to follow that time frame.
The About Page in Windows 10 Settings Gets a Visual Update
Microsoft is working to update the Settings app in Windows 10. In addition to a new What's new page, the About page is getting a major overhaul. The detailed Windows Security status is now removed from the About page in Settings, and new useful buttons are added.
More 4K Premium Themes Hit Microsoft Store
Microsoft has updated the Store with a few more beatiful themepacks. Two of them, Desert Beauty and Creating with Clay, are 4K Premium themes. And yet another one, Cactus Flowers, comes with 1080p wallpapers.
