It took Microsoft a while to bring this useful feature to their browser. Quick Commands is an input box that allows you to directly launch a specific feature of the browser by typing its name. The idea isn't new, and was first introduced in the classic Opera browser. Its ideological successor, Vivaldi, was first of the Chromium-based apps to implement it. In March 2021, Chrome has got something similar called "Commander". It is 2022 and Edge now follows the suit.

Microsoft is rolling out Windows 11 Build 25145 to Dev channel insiders
The Redmond firm today released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25145 to the Dev Channel. It adds a number of new features to the OS, including OneDrive storage alert and its subscription management options in Settings, local admin password solution as part of Windows, Narrator improvements. It also includes a good set of general improvements.

Narrator Braille Driver Solution
Braille devices will continue working while switching between Narrator and third-party screen readers as narrator will automatically change Braille drivers. Check out the official documentation here to learn how to configure it.
OneDrive storage alert and subscription management in Settings
Earlier, Microsoft added the ability to manage payments methods in Settings > Accounts for the Microsoft 365 subscription. Now, the same is possible for OneDrive Standalone 100GB subscription.
This will allow you to view your recurring billing, payment method, and OneDrive storage usage within Windows 11. Additionally, if you are close to or above your OneDrive storage limit, you will see it on the same Settings page. The company is rolling out this change gradually, so it will be initially available to a small group of Insiders.
Local Administrator Password Solution
Starting with this build, Microsoft ships the legacy Local Administrator Password Solution product bundled with Windows 11. It has also got a number of new features and improvements. You can now manage it with the Local Group Policy Editor tool. It also comes with a built-in event logging.
Other changes
- The new App usage history gives users a 7-day history of resource access for Location, Camera, Microphone, Phone Calls, Messaging, Contacts, Pictures, Videos, Music library, Screenshots and apps through the Settings experience. You can find this new information under Settings > Privacy & security > App permissions.
- Suggested Actions are now available to all Insiders in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
- You can now middle-click on a folder in File Explorer to open it in a new tab.
- The tab row in File Explorer now receives keyboard focus when you move it with Tab or F6. Once you set focus to the tabs, use the left and right arrow keys to switch between them.
Windows 11 Build 25145 also includes fixes for BsoDs, black screen on Surface Pro X devices then they return from hibernation, Start menu appearance, and more. There is also a list of known issues that you will find in the official announcement.
Xiaomi introduced the Book S 12.4 tablet with Windows 11 on ARM
Xiaomi introduced the Book S 12.4 tablet, which is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor and runs Windows 11 on ARM. This chip comes with eight Kryo 495 cores that run up to 2.84 GHz, and a Qualcomm Adreno 680 GPU.
Edge Dev 104.0.1293.1 improves switching between the light and dark theme
Microsoft has released a new Dev Channel build 104.0.1293.1 of the Edge browser. It doesn't include new features, but improves the existing functionality and reliability in both mobile and desktop versions.
KB5016138 and KB5016139 fix the login bug in Windows on ARM
Earlier this month, Microsoft released the cumulative patches for all supported Windows versions. But along with fixes, Patch Tuesday introduced two bugs, the broken Hotspot and sign-in process for Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory. New out-of-band patches KB5016138 and KB5016139 aimed to fix the login bug.

One more bug: June updates break login process for Windows on ARM
Quickly after releasing June Cumulative updates Microsoft confirmed a bug that prevents the user from enabling a mobile hotspot on Windows 11 and 10. Sadly, it was not the only bug introduced in this update. Another issue affects ARM versions of the OSes and breaks the login process.
This week’s Patch Tuesday breaks Mobile Hotspot in all Windows versions
This week's patches are what users have been waiting for with high expectations. Edge will soon allow you to close tabs with a double-click
A new option to close tabs with double-click is spotted in the Canary branch of Microsoft Edge. It addition to the cross button and a couple of keyboard shortcuts, it allows you to close tabs with your mouse faster. The new behavior can be enabled or disabled in Edge settings.
