Microsoft has announced a major enhancement to the Xbox experience on both PCs and consoles. Starting today, members of the PC Gaming Preview who hold an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription can now stream console games they own. While the list of supported games is limited, it already includes titles that aren't part of the Game Pass catalog. The new feature comes to 28 regions where Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) is supported.

Previously introduced for Xbox consoles, smart TVs, and mobile devices, the “Stream your own game” feature now arrives on Windows PCs. It allows players to access supported games directly through the Xbox PC app. And you do not need to install anything locally. This will reduce storage usage and will also eliminate wait times for downloads.
Notably, this update includes support for console-exclusive titles that were previously inaccessible through the PC app. Gamers can now locate these titles under the “Stream your own game” section in the Xbox PC app. Select a compatible game they own, and begin playing immediately. Over 250 games currently support this functionality, with more titles, including Xbox Play Anywhere games, expected to join the lineup in the coming months.
In addition to expanding streaming capabilities, Microsoft continues to improve the Xbox app on PC. Recent updates include performance optimizations, improved social features, and deeper integration with Windows gaming tools such as Game Bar and Game Mode.
In the coming months, PC gamers can expect more features. Those inlcude broader game support, and improved usability of the game streaming to the PC platform.
