Xbox app for Android now includes a built-in store and wishlist support

Microsoft is testing a major update to the Xbox app for Android, which brings two long-awaited features: a built-in store and wishlist support. Previously, attempting to purchase a game through the Xbox app would redirect you to the product's web page. This changed in the Xbox beta for Android.

As spotted by  Tom Warren of The Verge, the app now features a "Store" tab where you can browse and purchase games, DLC, and other content just like on your console. Filters are available for easy searching, including "Popular Paid Games," "Coming Soon," "Games on Sale," and more.

In addition, the app supports a wishlist on Android. Previously, this was only possible on the console and on the web. Your wishlist will sync across all your devices.

Currently, only users of the Xbox app beta for Android can try out the new features. These changes are expected to also appear in the Xbox mobile app for iOS in the future.
