Here's a bit of good news for those who need to install Windows 11 from scratch directly to the Dev channel. Microsoft today released official ISO files for the most recent build 25197.
Windows 11 build 25197 has several new features, both announced officially and hidden from users' eyes. The official announcement lists the re-invented touch-optimized taskbar, the updated tray along with animated icons in Settings and updated app versions.
Enthusiast quickly discovered a few more novelties in this release. There is a new Windows Spotlight Desktop panel that allows managing wallpapers from the Internet in a convenient way. There are also bits of new search that change its behavior. Finally, system tray in Windows 11 now a neat icon animation.
To get the ISO files for this build, navigate to this page on the Microsoft web site. You will be prompted to sign in with your Microsoft account. So enter your credentials you use with the Insider program for the Dev channel.
