Microsoft today releases Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23570 to the Dev Channel. With this build, Copilot in Windows supports multiple monitors. The Xbox Game Bar will now show as just Game Bar under the Start menu. And more.

What's new in Windows 11 Build 23570 (Dev)

Changes and improvements

  • Copilot for Windows can now be used on multiple monitors. To do this, simply click on the Copilot button on the taskbar on the monitor on which you want to see Copilot. You can also use the WIN + C keyboard shortcut to display Copilot on the monitor where it was last used. If you're using only the keyboard, you can use WIN + T to bring focus to the taskbar and navigate to the Copilot button on the taskbar.
  • Xbox Game Bar has been renamed to Game Bar. The change will appear in the Start menu and under Settings -> Apps -> Installed apps. The name will change after updating the Game Bar through the Microsoft Store.

Fixes

  • Fixed several issues that could cause a File Explorer hang when trying to open a new window.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused apps to be sorted incorrectly in the All Apps list in the Start menu when using a Japanese system.
  • Fixed a crash in “Search” that was observed in previous builds.
  • Fixed an issue where the home page would unexpectedly display a message that your hard drive has NaN% free space left.

Note. Some of the fixes listed above may be included in cumulative updates for release versions of Windows 11.

Known Issues

  • Some Insiders using Dev Channel builds in regions where Copilot for Windows is in preview may notice that Copilot for Windows has disappeared from the taskbar. Microsoft is working to fix the problem.
  • When you first launch or after updating Copilot, when using Voice Access, you must use the Show grid command to then move to the Ask me anything field.
