Windows 11 25H2 will become available in the coming weeks as an annual feature update to the operating system. Currently, the Redmond firm made the ISO images of version 25H2 available for download. You can use them for updating your existing instance or perform a clean installation of the OS.
ISO images are available for download on the Windows Insider program website. The published build is stable enough that you can use these images to install Windows 11 version 25H2 on non-Insider PCs. The installation image is about 7 GB in size (depending on the language you choose).
According to Microsoft, Windows 11 25H2 will not include new features compared to the current version 24H2. The update will be distributed as a small activation package (eKB). This literally means that versions 24H2 and 25H2 share a single code base (and are built on the Germanium platform).
The full release of Windows 11 version 25H2 is expected to take place in late September or early October 2025, which is in line with the traditional release timeline for feature updates.

If you don't want to wait for the official release in Windows Update, you can download the ISO image from the official website right now:
- Go to the ISO download page on the Windows Insider Program website.
- Sign in to your Microsoft account and, if necessary, join the program.
- From the drop-down menu, select the option "Windows 11 Insider Preview (Release Preview) Build 26200".
- Select your preferred language from the drop-down list.
- Click the Download button to finish.
