Microsoft is now releasing Windows 10 version 20H2 to the Release Preview channel. The feature update has become available as an enablement package KB4562830. This is the final stage of testing before the OS will be distributed to everyone.

Version 20H2 will be delivered to devices currently running Windows 10, version 2004 using the KB4562830 enablement package. This is the same technology Microsoft used to update devices from Windows 10, version 1903 to version 1909.

If your device is configured to receive updates from the Release Preview channel, you should try to hit the Check for Updates button and see if it is already available for your device.

Windows Insiders can download an ISO image of Windows 10 version 20H2 from the official website.

Windows 10 version 20H2 is a minor update with a smaller set of enhancements focused primarily on select performance improvements, enterprise features, and quality enhancements.

Windows 10, version 20H2 will also be the first version of Windows 10 to include the new Microsoft Edge, based on Chromium. Windows 10, version 20H2 will be delivered in an optimized way. Anyone running the May 2020 Update and updating to Windows 10, version 20H2 will have a faster installation experience because the update will install like a monthly update.

Earlier, Microsoft announced that it will use a bit different version numbering starting with 20H2. Microsoft will switch from to a format that represents the half of the calendar year in which the release becomes available in retail and commercial channels. The company had explained that for Windows 10 version 20H2 you will see "version 20H2" instead of "version 2009", as you could expect. This numbering scheme is a familiar approach for Windows Insiders and is designed to provide consistency in Microsoft's version names across releases for their commercial customers and partners. Microsoft will continue to use a friendly name, such as the May 2020 Update, in consumer communications.

  1. Разве для загрузки тестовых версий не другие ссылки нужно указывать?

  2. Sergey,

your screenshot of Windows 10 20H2 shows as build 19042.330.

the 20H2 build released in the RP channel recently is build 19042.450. why not replace the old screenshot with a new one that says 19042.450 instead?
