The Beta Channel, formerly Slow Ring, has received a new update. Insiders in this channel are receiving Windows 10 Build 19042.388, which represents Windows 10 20H2.
The new build is released as a cumulative update KB4565503, and it features the following changes.

As a result, this might prevent these devices from downloading new files or opening previously synced or downloaded files.
- Security updates to the Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, the Microsoft Store, Windows Graphics, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Media, Windows Shell, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Management, Windows Kernel, Windows Hybrid Cloud Networking, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Update Stack, Windows MSXML, Windows File Server and Clustering, Windows Remote Desktop, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge Legacy, and the Microsoft JET Database Engine.
Starting in Windows 10 version 20H2, Microsoft will change what you see in the Windows version information. Microsoft will switch from to a format that represents the half of the calendar year in which the release becomes available in retail and commercial channels. Instead of 'version 2009', you will see 'version 20H2' in the About Windows dialog (see the screenshot).
Windows 10, version 20H2, is targeted for release later in the second half of 2020. It will be delivered to users running Windows 10 version 2004. It will offer a scoped set of features to improve performance and enhance quality. Windows 10, version 20H2 will also be the first version of Windows 10 to include the new Microsoft Edge, based on Chromium.

Anyone running the May 2020 Update and updating to Windows 10, version 20H2 will have a faster installation experience because the update will install like a monthly update. Broad availability of Windows 10, version 20H2 will begin later this calendar year.
