Windows 10 build 11103 Redstone 1 has suddenly leaked to the Internet

Today is an unusual day in Windows 10 development history. A new "private" build of Windows 10 found its way to the internet. It is interesting because ever since Microsoft made Windows 10 beta testing open to everyone via the Windows Insiders program, only a few builds have actually leaked to the public. So the "leak" of Windows 10 build 11103 is a rather odd exception.

A Twitter user by the user name of "Core Insider Program" has shared a working ISO image for Windows 10 build 11103. Here is the Desktop screenshot made by him:Windows 10 build 11103 rs1

The technical details are as follows:

Platform: x64
Full build tag: 11103.1000.rs1_release.160116-0014
CRC32: 416F7376
MD5: FDF4E1A3B87B5283F1EE50F7BF44E14E
SHA-1: 4FA9BB3AC3A32D45BEB8C0EF16FFC369D5605C71

Users who already installed this build, found no significant changes from build 11102 which was released officially a few days ago. Some of them claim it "works faster, and is more stable" but it's just a placebo effect with no evidence of such claims.

Since it is unofficial and not an RTM release, it is recommended that you do not use it on your primary PC. Use it in a Virtual Machine if you want to play with it or in your test setup.

Windows 10 build 11103 is assumed to have been leaked from some Microsoft partner. Such companies usually have access to internal Windows 10 builds besides the official Insider program.

Windows 10 build 11103 is part of the first wave of the Redstone update. The first Redstone update is planned for release in June 2016, and the second one in October 2016, although Microsoft can shift these dates and speed up/slow down the releases.
