Winamp source code has been removed from GitHub

Llama Group, which published the source code of the Winamp media player in September, has removed the project's repository from GitHub. The reasons for the removal are not explained. But the repo contained many leaks and copyleft license violations. They are pretty enough for the removal.

In particular, after the publication, the WinAmp repository contained the code for a commercial SHOUTcast server sold to another company. There was someone else's proprietary code and certificate for generating digital signatures.

Finally, it contained several modified files from other projects distributed under the GPL license. Note that Winamp cannot use GPL code in its project without transferring its own code to a GPL-compatible license.
