Say goodbye to the Games folder with Windows 10 version 1803

With Windows Vista, Microsoft introduced the Games folder which was a special location to manage your installed games. This folder also offers game updates, statistics, rating information, RSS feeds, and more. It acts like a central repository for all recognized games you have on your PC. This folder was available in all versions of Windows 10. However, it has been removed in Windows 10 Spring Creators Update, version 1803.

Windows 10 Version 1803 is Coming to Media Creation Tool

The development of Windows 10 Spring Creators Update, version 1803, is over. The final (RTM) build is 17133, which is already released to Fast and Slow Ring Insiders. Microsoft is actively working to push the OS to the production branch. Today, the Redmond software giant prepared Windows 10 Build 17133 to be released via the Media Creation Tool.

Windows Build Upgrades Will Be Much Faster

Starting with Windows 10, Microsoft has been releasing two feature updates to the OS in a year. When a major feature update is released, it is like a Windows re-installation for end users. While it adds new features, user interface changes and improves the security of the OS, it takes a lot of time to install over an existing instance of the OS. Microsoft promises to change this and speed up the upgrade process significantly in the upcoming Spring Creators Update.

Spring Creators Update is the name of Windows 10 version 1803

The name for the upcoming "Redstone 4" update of Windows 10, version 1803, today got revealed. It looks like Microsoft is keeping the "Creators Update" naming, using the wording "Windows 10 Spring Creators Update" as the full name of the OS.
