Microsoft released yet another update to the Skype Insider Preview app. Skype 8.38.76.114 comes with a number of fixes and improvements.
The new Skype Preview app has a very streamlined user interface. It follows the modern trend of flat minimalist design with glyph icons and no borders anywhere. This design is being used in all other Microsoft products.

What's new
- Skype for Web Preview: Adding a badge icon to the Skype for Web Preview tab on web to indicate unreaded conversations.
- Mobile platforms: We have now overhauled our call controls so you can perform the important actions in calls more easily.
- You can send GIF directly from the expression picker now!
What was fixed:
- We're aware that some of you were experiencing the bug in your clients: messages were sent back to you in separated chat ("chat with yourself"). This shouldn't be happening after yesterday's fix and second fix is coming very soon so those chats will go away. Thank you for your logs and feedback!

- We're now supporting the call and chat related URIs to initiate audio and video calls!
What's fixed?
- You can send your Mojis normally, it's no longer directing you to other chats.
- Your Skype contacts on different platforms are able to see your videos again.
- The Skype user name is seen correctly when you're receiving the notifications on your device.
- You shouldn't receive the call (and other) notifications while you're in DND status.
- Accessibility: all reactions under the reaction pop-up window are accessible using the swipe gestures.
