New widgets are also coming to the Windows 11 Lock Screen
A few days ago Microsoft started rolling out new widgets for the Windows 10 lock screen, and now the same is coming to Windows 11. Besides the weather widget, the lock screen will display extra sections with traffic, NBA sports, stocks and currency rates. The widgets render the data MSN, and currently do not support customization: You cannot select individual ones to show, only enable or disable the whole set.

At today's event, Microsoft unveiled the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6, albeit only in business versions. The design of the new products has not changed compared to the previous generation. But there are still quite a lot of improvements.
Windows 11 Notepad now supports spell check and autocorrect
Microsoft is rolling out the new Notepad app, version 11.2402.18.0, for Windows 11. It now comes with a spell checking feature. So, from now on, Notepad in Window 11 will highlight misspelled words and offer suggestions so you can correct them quickly and easily. An auto-correction feature is also available, which will automatically correct common typos in real time.

Microsoft Edge is getting AI Notebook and Designer Image editor
Microsoft has updated the Edge browser by adding two AI features, named AI Notebook and Designer Image editor. Both are currently experimental features and need to be enabled manually.
Microsoft will keep the classic PDF viewer in Edge until at least 2025
Microsoft has decided to use the classic PDF reader as the default PDF viewer in the Edge browser until mid-Summer 2024. By that time, the company will roll-out Adobe PDF engine integration, but the classic viewer will remain available until 2025. So the new timeline greatly postpones the earlier announced dates of the removal.
Google Chrome 123 removes Theora support, adds zstd compression for HTTPS
Google Chrome 123 is available in the stable branch, and comes with several changes, new features and improvements. As mentioned in the title, it completely removes the Theora codec. The new tab page now allows opening tabs from other devices with one click. The browser now supports the Zstandard (zstd) compression algorithm, in addition to t gzip, brotli and deflate algorithms for content download. For a small percentage of US users it brings up a few AI-powered features like automatic tab organizer. And much more.
Windows 11 Build 26085 (Dev/Canary) fixes plenty of known issues
Microsoft today released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26085 to the Canary and Dev Channels. The Dev and Canary channels are temporarily receiving the same builds. During this period, Insiders can switch from the Canary channel to the Dev channel. This option will no longer be available in the future as higher numbered builds will be released on the Canary channel.
