Microsoft has released Windows 11 Build 22635.5305 (KB5055636) for Insiders in the Beta channel. This is the final build of Windows 11, version 23H2 for the Beta channel. All Insiders will soon receive an update to Windows 11, version 24H2. Going forward, all builds released to the Beta channel will be based on Windows 11, version 24H2, which is currently available as an optional update in the Beta channel.

In essence, both versions will share a common codebase, with 25H2 being distributed as a lightweight cumulative update that activates new features and improvements without requiring a complete system overhaul.

A new optional (preview) update is now available to Windows 11 23H2 and 22H2 users. The patch, dubbed KB5055629, raises the OS version to 22621.5262 (22H2) and 22631.5262 (23H2). It comes with two sets of fixes and improvements, one of which is coming gradually and ships with it a number of new features. Those include a new home page for File Explorer, Speech Recap, improved Narrator and Phone link.
