Despite Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 are no longer supported by Microsoft, here's an updated version of my classic app, Start Screen Color Tuner 1.1. The release doesn't app anything new besides a bug fix. A user reported that the app fails to detect Windows 8.1 to him. I checked out the source code and found out that the manifest file is not part of the project. So I re-added it and recompiled the app.
The Beta channel has received Windows 11 Builds 22621.1250 and 22623.1250
Microsoft has released new preview builds of Windows 11, version 22H2, to Insiders in the Beta channel. They come with KB5023008; Build 22623.1250 includes new features, while Build 22621.1250 has new features disabled by default.
Microsoft Edge is getting ‘minimal toolbar experience’
A new feature 'minimal toolbar experience' is landing in Microsoft Edge. When enabled, it moves the user profile icon from the toolbar to the tab row. In developer's opinion, this makes the toolbar look less cluttered. The new home for the profile button may be just the beginning of something greater. Eventually, Microsoft could end up with some redesign with here the UI is optimized for productivity and doesn't include anything that can interfere with your important tasks.

Windows 11 Build 25290 that was yesterday released in the Dev channel, comes with a new hidden feature that enables drag-n-drop of tabs out of the window. It will open in a separate window. Sadly, it still doesn't allow dragging the tabs between open File Explorer windows.
PowerToys 0.67 is here with Quick access-like launcher
Microsoft has released a new stable version of PowerToys. PowerToys 0.67 include the recently announced Quick access-like launcher that opens via the system tray icon and allows you to access the tools faster. Besides, there are fixes and general improvements.

Microsoft has yet to announce a date for its annual Build 2023 developer conference, although it has confirmed that the event will take place this year. The event home page is greeting visitors for their interest in Microsoft Build and notes that the company is getting ready to start registration. Simply put, Microsoft is almost ready for the official announcement of the event.
