New Microsoft Teams app is available with unified personal and work experience

Microsoft has unveiled a new unified Teams app designed to eliminate the need to switch between different accounts for personal, professional, and academic use. The software is available for Windows and Mac.

The app's upgrade also enhances notification clarity, allowing users to easily determine the source account for each message.

Teams Unified App

The latest update resolves the complexity of managing multiple Teams accounts, where Windows 11 users had to use two distinct applications: one for personal and another for professional or educational purposes.

Microsoft now points that joining meetings is very easy. Whether it's a client call or a chat about a school fundraiser, just pick the appropriate account at the meeting's commencement. Finally, the user can now join a meeting as a guest without signing in.

Existing Teams users will have their applications automatically upgraded to this latest version. Those looking to use Teams for the first time can obtain the app from Microsoft's website.
