If you are a VirtualBox user, you may already be aware that the popular virtualization software wasn't fully compatible with the latest Windows version for long. This has finally resolved. Microsoft has removed Windows 11 upgrade block.
When Hyper-V is enabled on Windows 11, it prevents VirtualBox from start. The machine launch sequence would end with an error message. Windows Hypervisor and VirtualBox couldn't co-exist on the same PC.
So, Microsoft had applied a compatibility hold on these devices to block them from installing or being offered Windows 11. The only workaround available since the release of Windows 11 has been to uninstall VirtualBox.
Oracle has resolved this issue in VirtualBox 6.1.28 and later. To remove the safeguard hold on your device, you will need to install VirtualBox 6.1.28 or later.
Once you update VirtualBox, it can take up to 48 hours before you see the Windows 11 update offer. Obviously, you device should not have other safeguards that may prevent it from getting Windows 11.
