Along with еру build 19033 announcement, Microsoft has revealed that the company is switching the Fast Ring to the RS_PRERELEASE branch. This means that the Fast Ring will no longer receive 20H1, as will RS_PRERELEASE host builds for the next feature update following after 20H1.
As is normal with builds early in the development cycle, these builds may contain bugs that make it unstable. If you are in the Fast ring and your PC gets updated to the next update, you won’t be able to switch your ring to the Slow or Release Preview rings to revert your PC back to 20H1 builds. A clean-install of a 20H1 will be required on your PC.
If you are a Windows Insider, check out your Insider Program options and adjust them if needed, especially if you are interested in using 20H1 builds.
It is a good idea to verify your desired Windows Insider Program settings by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program to ensure you are on the ring you want to be on before this change occurs. See
