Along with the Fast Ring build 19018, Microsoft is rolling out new search options to Windows 10 users. Here's what has changed.
Microsoft has updated the search pane, which is officially named 'Search Home', with a set of quick web links. Clicking on them will perform one of the following predefined search queries.
- Weather: Get current conditions and the upcoming forecast
- Top news: Read the latest headlines from popular news sites
- Today in history: Explore four events that happened on this day
- New movies: Find out what’s playing in theaters near you
To preview these web answers and results, select the search box to open Search Home, then choose one of the quick search buttons. Also, you can enter a query into the search box for quick results about any topic you are interested in.
The new options are a server-side change that’s currently rolling out and will appear for users across builds from version 1809 to 20H1. Currently, quick searches are only available in the US, but will be available soon internationally.

Advertisеment
Hi Sergey, thanks for the update. Not really useful to me. I could get those from anywhere else but not my start search. I thought to make it less clumsy, they separated start and cortona. Now they are undoing differently?
