Office LTSC 2024 is now available. It is a classic version of the app suite that can work offline and doesn't require a subscription for its apps and basic features. Office LTSC 2024 will be supported for five years.
Office 2024 LTSC comes with a traditional set of apps that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and OneNote. You can install it on Windows or macOS. A special edition called "Professional Plus" also adds a database management tool, Microsoft Access.
The release is great news for everyone who's doesn't look for cloud capabilities. You will not find real-time collaboration, AI-driven automation, and cloud-based security and compliance options, which are all present in Microsoft 365 apps. Finally, it lacks Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Office LTSC 2024 is currently available to existing commercial and government volume-licensed customers, along with new on-premises versions of Project and Visio. These products will be widely available to all customers starting October 1. Microsoft will reveal more details about Office 2024 for consumers in the coming weeks.
