Microsoft has decided to discontinue the premium Surface Studio 2+ all-in-one PC aimed at creative professionals and enterprise customers. The device, which features a touchscreen with an innovative hinge that allows the display to be positioned horizontally for comfortable work with graphics applications, was available for $4,500.
In recent weeks, the Surface Studio 2+ has been discontinued in most countries around the world. A Microsoft representative confirmed that the company has no plans to restock the all-in-one PC.
According to them, consumers interested in purchasing the Surface Studio 2+ can contact retailers and partners who still have the device in stock. In stores where stocks are out, the Surface Studio 2+ will no longer be available for purchase.
The discontinuation of the Surface Studio 2+ raises concerns about the future of the entire Surface Studio line. According to Windows Central sources, a new version of the all-in-one PC is not in the works.
Remember that Microsoft has already discontinued the Surface Duo 3 and Surface Earbuds 2, and it’s likely that the Surface Studio 3 will be added to this list. Historically, the Surface Studio has been seen as a niche product, primarily due to its high price and specific target audience. However, it has carved out a significant space in the Windows all-in-one PC market.
