Microsoft has extended Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) access to users with Xbox Game Pass Core and Standard subscriptions. Previously, this feature was exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Streaming Enables Cross-Device Gameplay

Xbox Insiders with eligible subscriptions can play supported games on various devices through cloud streaming. This allows gameplay on smartphones, tablets, and PCs without requiring a console. Microsoft emphasizes that the goal is to improve accessibility and flexibility for users who want to play while on the move.

Expansion of PC Game Access

Microsoft is introducing select PC games to Xbox Game Pass Core and Standard tiers. These titles will be available across consoles, Windows PCs, and handheld devices. While the full list of games has not been released, participants in the preview program will see the additions in the Xbox app for PC in the near term.

New Xbox App Update for ARM-Based PCs

A new version of the Xbox app (2508.1001.27.0 and above) is now in testing for ARM-based devices running Windows 11. The update allows users to download and launch games from the Xbox catalog, including those available through PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. Access to this version is restricted to users enrolled in both the Windows Insider program and the Xbox Insider program, with PC Gaming Preview enabled via the Xbox Insider Hub app.

Improved Compatibility and Future Features

The Windows and Xbox teams are collaborating to enhance game compatibility on ARM-based systems. Ongoing development focuses on enabling more titles to run efficiently on these devices. Additional features are in progress to further expand game availability and performance for ARM processor users.
